We are seeking Construction Inspection individuals for projects located throughout Western Pennsylvania who are available to begin work immediately. Prior experience with PennDOT or the PA Turnpike is mandatory. Construction Inspectors with all levels of experience, for road and bridge contracts are encouraged to apply. Duties include review of plans, maintaining project records according to PennDOT procedures, quantity calculations, preparation of work orders and estimates, inspection of work in conformance with approved plans and specifications. Individuals with NICET, NECEPT, PennDOT Concrete, ACI and CDS/NeXtGen certifications are preferred. Gibson-Thomas Engineering Co., Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
Structural Engineer
Positions available in our Pittsburgh, Latrobe, Clarion, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania locations. The qualified candidate must be a registered professional engineer in the state of Pennsylvania, and have 7 to 12 years of experience in PennDOT and PA Turnpike bridge and related structure design. Experience in bridge design including LRFD steel and concrete, PennDOT Design Programs (including BRADD 3), and plan development. Microstation skills and a Bachelor’s degree are required. EOE M/F
Highway Engineer
Positions available in our Pittsburgh, Latrobe, Clarion, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania locations. The qualified candidate must be a registered professional engineer in the state of Pennsylvania. A minimum of 7 to 12 years experience in PennDOT and PA Turnpike projects including: highway design, drainage design, stormwater management design, traffic control plans and plan presentation is necessary. A Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of Microstation and Inroads is required. EOE M/F
